Wood and cellulose based materials - prospects for innovative products?
Focusing on individual projects, the research group of Tanja Zimmermann and Ingo Burgert highlight the progress made in chemical modification and functionalisation of wood and cellulose based materials. The projects' common goal is to enhance properties in well-known fields of application as well as develop novel property profiles for new applications. Looking first at the basic task of optimising the material, the researchers will go on to describe the further steps needed to develop a product. The event will take place within the scope of the Monday Colloquiums held by the Institute of Terrestrial Ecosystems (ITES) at ETH Zurich.
