Searching for novel and sustainable panel materials

What is still hampering the marketing of light bio-based furniture panels, or the use of extracted tannins to produce innovative wood-based materials? Researchers from Bern University of Applied Sciences discussed these and other questions with industry experts at an NRP 66 workshop in late September.

The workshop focused on new customer demands and cabinetry trends as well as on NRP 66 and its contribution towards developing the relevant markets. The event was staged within the scope of the dialogue platform "Innovative wood-based materials for new applications" on 25 September in Biel.
